mCanvas bags 4 big wins at Ad Gully’s MOBEXX Awards 2020 for Mahindra, Realme, SBI & Axis Mutual Funds

mCanvas, the experiential storytelling ad platform for small screens, has announced that it has been conferred with four prestigious titles at Ad Gully’s MOBEXX Awards 2020. The wins were in the following categories:
- Gold for Mahindra XUV300 5 Star Safety in the Mobile Advertising Excellence in Augmented Reality / Virtual Reality Campaign category
- Gold for Realme X in the Mobile Advertising Excellence in Use of Video category
- Silver for SBI YONO App in the Mobile Advertising Excellence in Voice category
- Bronze for Axis Mutual Funds #TaxFever in the Mobile Advertising Excellence in Rich Media Campaign

Organised by Ad Gully, MOBEXX Awards are designed to recognise and celebrate excellence in innovation, creativity and effectiveness of mobile-led campaigns which have established an industry-wide benchmark in mobile marketing and advertising.
Mahindra XUV300 wanted to promote its 5-star rating in Adult Safety and 4-stars in Child Safety under Global NCAP’s #SaferCarsForIndia campaign. Further, the brand also wanted to build awareness about car safety and highlight its efforts in that area with a unique mobile ad.

Integrating augmented reality, the rich-media mobile campaign encouraged users to look for five stars in their environment. The idea for this was to build a strong association between the brand and its safety rating, and ultimately enhance users’ confidence in the brand.
The campaign reached over 1.7 million users and they spent over 6 seconds, on average, while engaging with the creative.
Creating hype around its new, budget-friendly yet feature-rich smartphone - Realme X, the brand unveiled an interactive mobile ad that used vertical video to seamlessly showcase the features of the device.

Prompting users to press and hold on the in-display fingerprint scanner in the ad, the campaign went on to highlight the high-end features of the phone in an innovative manner. Further, the CTA ‘Notify me’ directed them to Flipkart’s landing page, after which they were prompted to enter their email address to create a reminder about the launch.
The campaign reached over 3.4 million users and they spent over 10 seconds, on average, while engaging with the creative.

Axis Mutual Funds, one of India’s premium financial service providers promoted its beneficial tax-saving ELSS scheme with a unique and informative interactive mobile campaign.

Advising users to avoid ‘tax fever’, the campaign instructed them to plug in their phone charger to get maximum immunity. Integrating real-time phone charger connection technology, the ad then seamlessly displayed the brand’s messaging.
The campaign reached over 3.7 million users and they spent over 7 seconds, on average, while engaging with the creative.
